Acura NSX GT3 Evo

January 31st, 2019 by

We’ve talked a lot about the Acura NSX here, and with good reason; other than that fact that we’re (obviously) an Acura dealer, the NSX is just a fantastic vehicle. With a history of amazing performance for high value, and better pricing and performance going into 2019, the Acura NSX is definitely a vehicle we like to rage about. Only to improve on these factors, Acura has racing this year across the world their all-new Acura NSX GT3 Evo.

Racing only a few days ago at Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway, the NSX GT3 Evo may just surprise you. In fact, it is built from most of the same parts as the stock NSX, with a host of small updates that add together to create one high performance race car. These improvements include a revised front splitter, diffuser, and rear bumper, as well as new single-scroll turbochargers. Other additions include improved cooling, ABS, and a Bosch data-logging system that helps drivers improve based on the machine responsiveness.

These upgrades are all in response to feedback and analysis of the customer racing teams and their cars, which they’ve received over the past two years of NSX GT3s being raced. Even better, race teams who already have the previous model are able to retrofit the full suite of upgrades and have their vehicle ready for race day. Sadly, the NSX GT3 Evo placed fourth in its class this year at the IMSA Rolex 24, however, there are many more races for the year for Acura to put their vehicles to the test and take the top spot.

However, if you’d like to watch an NSX absolutely crush a Lamborghini Huracan in a drag race (definitely no easy feat), then check out the video below to satisfy your Acura racing needs.
